Избыточное давление со стороны раствора, препятствующее проникновению растворителя из менее концентрированного в более концентрированный раствор через разделяющую эти два раствора мембрану, непроницаемую для растворённых веществ.
Максимальное осмотическое давление, которое может создаться вследствие осмоса в растворе, отделённом от чистого растворителя полупроницаемой мембраной.
Нарушение в клетке, вызванное её переносом в гипертонический или гипотонический раствор.
